Rubber: Traditional fan belts are usually made of rubber, which has good elasticity
and wear resistance, but may age in high temperature environments for a long time.
EPDM rubber:
EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) is a copolymer of ethylene, propylene, and
a small amount of non conjugated diene. It is a type of ethylene propylene rubber,
resented by EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer). Due to its main chain being
composed of chemically stable saturated hydrocarbons and only containing unsaturated
double bonds in the side chains, it has excellent aging resistance such as ozone resistance,
heat resistance, and weather resistance. It can be widely used in automotive components,
waterproof materials for construction, wire and cable sheaths, heat-resistant hoses, tapes,
automotive seals, and other fields.
Chloroprene rubber: Some high-performance fan belts are made of chloroprene rubber material,
which has good heat resistance and wear resistance and is suitable for various working environments.
Synthetic rubber: Combining the advantages of natural rubber with the durability of synthetic
materials, it is suitable for use in medium speed fans and has a high cost performance ratio.
Carbon fiber: lightweight and high strength, with excellent heat resistance and long service
life, but relatively high cost.
Polyurethane: This material of belt has good elasticity and excellent shock absorption effect,
suitable for users who pursue a quiet effect.
These different materials each have their own advantages, and the selection should be based
on the specific usage environment and requirements. For vehicles that are exposed to high
temperatures for a long time, fan belts made of chloroprene rubber or carbon fiber materials
with better heat resistance can be chosen.
